Surrogacy law varies significantly by state and jurisdiction, and gestational surrogacy arrangements involve important legal rights and obligations for all parties. We require or strongly recommend that intended parents and gestational surrogates each be represented by their own independent legal counsel (ILC) in connection with any surrogacy arrangement.
